Hi, I'm Eric! I recently completed my undergraduate degree in Computer Science at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo. This summer, I will begin working at Cisco as a Software Engineer. Outside of work, I serve as the National Co-Director of Engineering of Hack4Impact, an organization that builds software for nonprofits.

Software Engineering Intern

NBCUniversal

Developed serverless, cloud-native API reports using AWS Lambda and Python, reducing reporting costs by 50%. Created custom API Gateway error alerts using Python, CloudWatch Logs, S3, Lambda, and SES. Worked extensively with the following AWS cloud technologies: Lambda, EC2, S3, CloudWatch, API Gateway, SNS, and SES.

Software Engineering Intern

NBCUniversal

Spearheaded development of NBCUniversal Internship web application in 4 weeks, using React. Developed Dub Request Form web application using C#, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Used C#, React, HTML/CSS, and JavaScript on a daily basis.

Micro-Vu

Implemented interactive city map with Node.js to showcase 30+ Micro-Vu suppliers around the world. Created tool management web application which mapped tools to barcodes; Automated tool ordering process. Developed employee time-off management web application using Django, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.

Hack4Impact is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization with 600+ members spread across 11 universities. As Director of Operations, I oversee our technical operations and chapter growth.

Hack4Impact Cal Poly

Cal Poly chapter of Hack4Impact; Student organization that builds full-stack web applications for nonprofits. As Executive Director, I oversee all operations and initiatives, co-teach an annual developer boot camp, develop web applications on project teams, and assist in member recruitment and nonprofit client sourcing. Additionally, I lead development of a volunteer management web app for SLO Botanical Gardens, used to manage and track the activity of over 80 volunteers. I also developed an advocate form tracker for CASA, a web app that tracks vital information for 100+ CASA advocates.

SLO Botanical Garden Volunteer Hour Tracker

A volunteer hour tracker web app, made for the SLO Botanical Garden nonprofit.
Web application that allows nonprofit workers to seamlessly track important volunteer information, like volunteer hours, emergency contact information, and more. Lead development of project, over the course of six months.

CASA-Track

A web application that automates the tracking form submission process for CASA volunteers.
Guided team of 10 developers throughout the application’s development and deployment stages. Communicated with nonprofit representatives on a regular basis to ensure that user needs were met. Led training sessions for club members to teach the basics of the Django framework. Facilitated collaboration between developers of all experience levels.
